Anissa Todesco aka Amygdala is an upcoming dj/producer from Zürich, Switzerland. Her drive to search for niche 90s electronic music compositions can be heard on her first debut ep Solanaceae for YLGR Recordings as she combines & appropriates different genres into a coherent new but yet familiar look. Balancing between US American and European influences the EP shows a quite range of references – some tracks lean into molds which resemble the good old metamorphic compositions and others resemble an european timeline where techno got crossed with trancy arpeggiators and was balancing on that threshold for quite a time. This four tracker is definitely made for bright moments on the dance-floor – don’t miss out on it!

Mathew Jonson studied classical piano as a kid and, as well as learning jazz drumming, played drums in a marching band. We only mention this because the influence of all three is still very much in evidence in the infectious house music that the Berlin-based producer makes. The signature melody of 'Spaceport 23' is a jazzy organ riff, which lands it a carefree, frisky air, but of course his grasp of tight, economic beats and beautifully balanced, pleasing-to-the-ear composition also play their parts. 'Spaceport 23-Z' doesn't veer far from the original, but adds a sheen of Detroit-esque synth magic, while those who favour the tech in their tech house will probably want to head for the more synthetic, electrified vibes of 'Spaceport 23-X'.
The first Huerco S. album in 6 years, Plonk’s world does not wholly resemble anything Brian Leeds has made under any alias. His sound palette has broadened to absorb and refine trap’s un-smeared geometrics and drill’s taught rhythms amongst the gaseous bodies and soul-piercing ambience that has garnered such acclaim; Where those previous veins were rooted in the pre-Columbian civilizations of his native Kansas, Plonk reflects the mournful sodium glow of cities at night, street corners that light up with painful moments of clarity you wish would disappear.
Futuristic electro by Gerald Donald (Dopplereffekt, Drexciya) and Beta Evers, originally released on Weme, including a previously unreleased track.
