Shoal's second release, on Harmony Rec., characterizes the current sound of the Prague-based collective. The EP's side A is largely dedicated to dance floors providing driving & groovy loops, whereas side B is reaching a deeper atmosphere with an emphasis on broken rhythms.
It’s time to rave again! Welcome to Simon Lovejoy in the unreality world. Simon began professionally playing ‘rave’ and club venues and releasing records from 1989 ‘The Rave Age 'album is a supreme mix of techno, house and downtempo, includes unreleased tracks from his rave age.
SUZI is the new label from Cleveland, the Brussels-based artist behind releases on Kalahari Oyster Cult, ESP Institute and Hivern Discs. The label’s inaugural release unites contributions of 4 artists, with a common ground of techy, playfully modern-sounding tracks with a serious edge and a decent amount of bleeps.

The long awaited follow up to the sought-after first Be Told Lies VA, featuring the heavy atmospherics, luscious pads, haunting melodies that makes the label's sound unique.
Verscheibung by Roman Flugel arrives for the rather fine Die Orakel label overseen by LARJ's Oliver Hafenbauer. The four tracks are split between stripped-back techno and druggy, off-piste ambient (the bubbly, post-party weirdness of closer "Track 4"). The most obviously floor-friendly cut opens the EP, with Flugel layering wonky, minor key melody lines over a dense but minimalist groove. Elsewhere, check the Villalobos-ish strangeness of "Track 3", and the druggy, pitched-down experimental throb of "Track 2".
For AC004, we’re delighted to welcome Glasgow’s Modus to Alien Communications – for what’s planned to be the first of many collaborations. The Super-Kamio EP sees him delve into deeper territory, setting aside the pacy techno of recent releases for something a little more introspective. The title track, inspired by the Super-Kamiokande neutrino observatory, kicks things off with snappy drums and melodies which continue to evolve over the next 8 minutes. ‘Breeze’ lightens the tone with an arpeggiated baseline and playful melodies, whilst ‘Off The Grid’ heads into dance floor territory with syncronated stabs and warm pads bringing the track, and release, to a climax.
