The beauty that arises from music is the connection between people. Oblique's twelfth EP consists of four friends who have spent many hours together in the studio, booth and kitchen, yet this is the first time they appear on a release together. A friendship cultivated from a shared passion for hypnotic techno, and here, each artist presents his unique take on it.

Tape Hiss is a producer from Brooklyn New York. This is a record about finding moments of beauty,happiness and hope in trying times. It is in part inspired by and dedicated to the life of the late NathanielJ.Whelton who ran the ‘Love Notes from Brooklyn’ label for many years-and contributed his poetryregularly to the music zine ‘Love Injection.’ The track titles are riffs on lines of his poetry, and when readin order mimic the cadence and style of his writing

32A003 is a tribute to the six years Idle Hands spent on City Road in Bristol. The artists all have close ties to the city and reflect some of the UK centric that was pushed in the shop. This one is for all the record shops out there, as such this is a vinyl only release.

Off The Grid christens its record label with a first release composed by very close people to the heart of its functioning. On the A1 we find a melancholic optimist house cut, made in collaboration by Ancut, head-mastering engineer from Analogcut, and Onirik, OTG’s head honcho. A2 features Onirik’s solo offering, a trippy dreamy off kilter cut, ideal for warm-up or early hours. The B-side belongs to Views, already responsible for a couple of releases on Garage Hermétique, one of the founding labels of Off The Grid, who wraps up two tracks full of atmospherical punchiness, clubby IDM, with his signature acid basslines and storytelling.

Madrid based producer Corp debut on Hivern Discs after releases on Libertine and his own imprint, Unusual Systems. "Paranoid Visions" is a collection of four hardware-based jams that navigate through electro, techno and trance. Artwork by Superplus.
