We’re more than proud to present the first album on our label. A few words from the
maestro, Anton Kubikov:
What was the first egg or chicken
remains a mystery to me. But what is absolutely clear
-
the first was the sound. And to this day, the defining in my settings is one or another wave
ripple. After many of my dub releases, I decided to follow the big bang path and create an
album from one p
oint and bloom like a flower bud, filling it with different shades, micro
-
changing the waves of each track, adhering to the monoc
hrome
of the first point, or rather
the chord. Ambient Occlusion is not a sound concept, but one way or another defining the
so
und of the album, when the missing is filled with the drawing algorithm. And yet, with all
the technogenic description, the feelings and sensations of the surrounding space and time
in which the creation took place were at the forefront. It remains persona
l and I hope I was
able to convey the invisible that appears at the fingertips when a spark occurs. Separately, I
want to note the history of the creation of the album cover by Anja Kubik, since it is already
a separate art object in itself, made by hand o
n canvas using a unique embroidery technique
and complementing the sound system of the album.

For our eighth release we are proud to host the Madrid-based producer Arnic with his first full record on tresydos. A familiar face of our label, Arnic not only plays regularly at the tresydos showcases in the Spanish capital, but also already appeared on a VA and delivered a mix for our podcast series. From the start of the record, the style is strikingly groovy and deep, combining captivating funky basslines, sharp house rhythms, and jazzy harmonics. While some tracks come across as perfect ‘hands-up’ club gems, the production on this record shows a lot of depth to it, encompassing elegantly suspended atmospheres, softly psychedelic touches in its synths-work, and even some downtempo beats. Arnic’s tresydos record debut escapes easy formulations in favor of a strong personality in every single track - tresydos008 is a quality and versatile record not to be missed.
area127 brings a fresh collab between Tadan and V2 - exemplifying the label's ethos of bringing artists together for raw live sessions. This release is the result of one deep-night experimental session. Made without a plan, but expect some sssshhhhaakers throughout.
Genius of Time (aka Arkajo & Dorisburg) return to Aniara with four fresh house cuts. The A-side features the uplifting grooves, chords and strings of "CS70 House" and "Stream", while the flip side brings the pure groove of "909 Day" and the atmospheric rhythms of "Lurar i skuggan".
SNC Recs are no strangers to suprises. With the label's fourth release CHRONIC DURATIONS EP you’ll want to fasten your seatbelts. Nicolas Epe aka The Duty freedom, a Cologne based musician and artist, is ready to step into the spotlight, with the debut of his latest Alter Ego.On CHRONIC DURATIONS he takes the audience on a dramatic, emotional journey into the world of Intelligent Drum and Bass music. The sound is familiar, yet new and timeless, it’s stuck in the 90s while showcasing the future. Slow melodies carry you through the tracks and are broken byfast kicks and glitchy sounds. The EP can be understood as a hybrid of sound and video art. To further lose yourself in the work, The Duty Freedom has created a series of dreamlike glitch video pieces that can be enjoyed alongside the sounds and help to unterstand the artist's full intentions. Chronic Durations works both as a first-class listening record and in a (hopefully soon to be available) club context at emotional and well-chosen moments. See you hopefully soon on the dance floor again – stay safe and be prepared for some serious heaters on SNC Recs in 2021.
Dark of Groove.
Ahem is a new project from Housecraft Recordings head Jeffry Astin (aka Xiphiidae, Digital Natives) along with co-conspirators J.P. Wright and Brian Kinkade. Recommended for fans of smoked out dub-bient and deep Appalachian drones.
