“Bumpers” is the latest EP on T4T LUV NRG by DJ Autopay, the alias of musician and DJ Russell E.L. Butler. All of these tunes were written with DJs and blending in mind—like bumper cars, they are fun yet emotionally charged and built for unexpected collisions of sound. “More Femme, More Masc” is a queer non-binary anthem with heavy Baltimore-influenced vibes, written by Russell during the pandemic in a time of peak vulnerability, their voice cracking throughout. The track is an interpretation of “Fast Car” by Tracy Chapman and “Sometimes I Rhyme Slow” by Nice & Smooth but sounds like nothing we have heard before. Tropes 1, 2 & 3 are all house instrumentals in the spirit of the golden age of American house music yet interpreted through Russell’s unique lens. These cuts would have been as at home on Guidance records years ago as they are today on T4T LUV NRG, evoking the swinging dance beats and heady vibes of producers like Callisto and the early Large records by Kerri Chandler and DJ Rasoul. Russell has created something truly special for the contemporary dance floor with this timeless EP.

Vera Logdanidi is one of the founders of Rhythm Buro and has been a key component of the label and parties series' development and success. Today we're excited to announce her first-ever solo release with an EP entitled 'Banksia'.The Ukrainian artist's music career has spanned over the past 20 years, this is her first release on the Rhythm Buro label in 6 years. Her roots stretch back to the bass scene (which at times are rather palpable), but more recently she's been hard at work honing her craft under the house and techno umbrella. The Rhythm Buro project was founded by Vera, along with Oleksandr Pavlenko (aka Na Nich) and Igor Glushko (who runs the label offshoot of the project), Vera now steps up to highlight her own expression and vision of deep dance music with 'Banksia'. After previous appearances on labels such as Semantica, On Board Music and Corridor Audio, she has developed a signature set of soundscapes that can be attributed to her productions: deep, dubby, ethereal and trippy, with lush wide open spaces; yet notably polished and genre-agnostic. On the EP, Logdanidi has three original works and a remix. The title track on A1 is a great sample of Rhythm Buro's endeavored sound; groovy and hypnotizing. Following the A1 is a track called 'Root System', which continues this theme with a bit of a brain melter that showcases Vera's love for all things dubby. 'Essence', the B1 on the flip side, takes the listener on a journey through Logdanidi's housier side yet continues the theme adeptly. Closing the record, and bringing it to its logical conclusion, on B2 is a remix from deep techno maestro, Claudio PRC. Having played at one of Rhythm Buro's events in Kyiv previously and being a like-minded individual turned friend, Claudio is poised to make his debut on the label as well. A perfect match indeed!

Smooth & Simmonds was Chris Simmonds and Ron Wells, a pair pf producers who were active from the early to mid-90s and made just a handful of EPs that have all stood the test of time. Three of the best of them have been newly remeasured by a long-time fan at the Pariter label and are now getting served up on fresh wax. This 12" features 90s EP, The Four Seasons, with two mixes of the title cut. The first is a steamy Warehouse Mix with dusty drums, subtle rave whistles and seductive vocals stitched in, while the second is a Factory Mix that rides a little more smoothly on uplifting chord work and brighter synth energy.

Essential remastered reissue from the Infrastructure NY archives that represents the start of Function's involvement in the Sandwell District project. A snapshot in time...Where all the madness began... Sandwell District. In the summer of 2004 David Sumner (Function), then living in his native New York City, was over in Europe playing some shows. When passing through Berlin to play the old Tresor location at Potsdamer Platz, he stayed with long term friend and collaborator, Karl O'Connor (Regis). One afternoon the two head over to Hardwax and T++ puts on a copy of Sleeparchive Elephant Island. After months of discussions regarding the flavor of the moment "Minimal", everything changed in that instant...They looked at each other and said "now this changes everything!" Finally, a way forward! Later that night at Tresor - as Function is playing, Regis is behind him organizing a mic...As Dave mixes Regis Guiltless with Elephant Island, Karl starts singing a punk cover version of Buddy Holly Peggy Sue over his set. It's all there in that one moment! Sandwell District. Dave goes back to New York inspired. He sees there's no information on the record apart from an email address. So, he gets in touch...He gets a reply from Roger, the two hit it off and organize the first ever Sleeparchive remix - Regis Asbestos (Sleeparchive Remix). On the B-side comes a cut-up version of Karl and Dave's Portion Reform classic Closing In, where they collaborate with Detroit Underground's Kero to form Re:Group. Adding deep 808 rhythms combined with Kero's signature Max MSP IDM madness, Left provides the perfect counterpart that made this EP the instant classic it became 18 years ago. Now, remastered in all its glory, sounding fresh, massive and better than ever - available on BandCamp for the first time - Infrastructure presents; Regis Asbestos (Sleeparchive Remix) b/w Re:Group Left.
